Robert Merrys Museum

 A long-running juvenile magazine illustrated with engravings, initially edited by Samuel Goodrich, reflecting his philosophy of realistic, educationally beneficial works with an emphasis on science and nature studies. it continued as “Merry’s Museum and Parley’s Magazine” (636) and was edited, starting in January 1868, by Louisa May Alcott, who was also a frequent contributor.
