A short-lived news-oriented weekly, not unlike “Illustrated American News” (570). It was co-owned by P. T. Barnum and the illustrations were supervised by Frank Leslie. It attained a circulation of 70,000 and merged into “Gleason’s Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion” (569), later “Ballou’s Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion.” Volume also contains Montgomery’s Pictorial Times V.1 N. 1 – 9 |
