A fashionable miscellany of New York society, which played an important part in the rise of Knickerbocker Literary School. Initially edited by the poet Samuel Woodsworth and later by N. P. Willis. It emphasized American contributions, and in its later years had notable illustration. Listed in ULS and after 1831 as New York Mirror: A Weekly Gazette of Literature and the Fine Arts.
