A monument to the freedom of the press published by John Peter Zenger. A satirical crusade against the laws of libel, with many columns full of the wit of dissent. While not strictly a magazine, it is mostly concerned with political essays, similar to Independent Reflector (5), which is considered a true magazine. Very important and rare. These issues contain a long essay on freedom of the press. |
