An illustrated, 5 cent, 8 page weekly. It was edited by B.B. Vallentine, a frequent contributor to Puck (859), and Alfred Thompson, who also supplied most of the illustration and later was featured in Town Topics. It was advertised as “The American Journal of Satire, Thought and Mirth”, emphasizing nonpartisan political humor “to divert, interest and amuse … without prejudice, personality or grossness”.
