Title: | Titan, a Magazine of Literature, Science and Art |
Category: | Miscellany |
Volume: | 1 |
Issue: | 1 |
Date: | July 1857 |
Published in: | New Orleans |
A monthly miscellany, unrecorded in ULS or Riley. The opening article suggests it was published somewhere in the southern Mississippi Valley. Recent research suggests that New Orleans is the probable site of publication (see Crescent Monthly), Contents include a story by Elizabeth Barrett Browning entitled “Madame Luce and Her School” which is unrecorded in any Browning bibliography and not held in any institution. This issue is probably unique and the only printing of this previously unknown Browning essay. |
