The national publication and weekly staple of the American household. The highest circulated periodical ever published in America. Initially a merger of three major pre-nationals, each of which had a unique contribution: TV Guide of New York (of name), TV Digest of Philadelphia (the ownership), and TV Forecase of Chicago (the earliest date of publication). The most valuable issue is the “Superman” cover (v. 1 n. 26). After volume one, the size was reduced to 5 1/8 by 7 3/8. |
