Dear Dr. Lomaz,
I have written previously asking if you could provide permission to reproduce the July 1847 cover of The Union Magazine in my book America’s Paper Money: A Canvas for an Emerging Nation to be published by the Smithsonian Institution Scholarly Press. It is an important example of the crossover of imagery in banknotes and popular magazine at mid-century.
My book is ready to go to layout and I would be grateful if you could grant permission and provide a digital TIF image.
Thank you again.
